Terakeet - Technology Driven

Terakeet Corporation, a nationally recognized Internet marketing firm, is seeking an in-house web designer with standard web development experience to support existing client website infrastructure and develop new websites for ongoing projects.

This role requires frequent collaboration with other members of the Terakeet team. Candidates should be able to provide creative insight while actively participating in the on-page planning, staging, design, and execution of both client and internal websites. Candidates should also be comfortable working with various social media and customized blogging platforms (Facebook, YouTube, WordPress, etc.).

Candidates for this position must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a varied, fast paced environment.

Ideal candidates will also possess the following skills:

• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
• Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
• Team player willing to teach and learn.

An individual with 2+ years experience is preferred, although those with less experience may also be considered.

Proficiencies should include (but are not limited to):

• Adobe CS5 Creative Suite;
• User Interface Design and Usability Testing;
• On-Page Search Engine Optimization Best Practices;
• HTML, CSS, Semantic Markup, JavaScript/JQuery, PHP, MySQL, WordPress, Mobile;
• Familiarity with: MVC Framework, Version Control (e.g. Git, SVN, CVS),  CMS Theming;
