Terakeet’s Declaration of Independence

Inside Terakeet // July 3, 2013

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all searches are created equal, that they are endowed by Google with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Content, Authorship and the pursuit of Authority.

The history of Traditional SEO is a history of repeated injuries and black hat tactics, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over the Internet. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to the blogosphere.

For creating doorway pages for the sole purpose of targeting a specific keyword phrase or set of phrases, which have no actual information on them.

For taking away our authority by imposing on us no-follow links.

For falsely representing us as spam without our consent.

They have erected a multitude of web scripts, and sent hither swarms of comment spam to simulate linking from our bloggers, and eat out their PageRank.

We hereby vow to produce new and relevant content to aid in the growth of knowledge throughout All the Blogosphere.

We hereby succumb to Google’s ‘not provided’ measure and acknowledge the continued troubling deprivation of keyword data.

We hereby submit that we are sick of Matt Cutts’ tiny t-shirts and declare our independence from Eddie Bauer and JCrew.

We hereby declare our independence from directory links and resolve to build meaningful relationships with bloggers.

We hereby declare our indifference to our substandard, copycat competitors who try their best to imitate our work, and resolve to take said imitation as flattery while continuing to dominate them in every way.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Authority, we mutually pledge to each other our Great Content, our Authorship and our sacred Optimization.
